Air duct inlet

To transport air to the brake cooling outlet, a suitable inlet is essential. The M2 Competition already has inlet channels in the front bumper as standard, but these end in the middle of the wheel arch. To prevent the air from swirling randomly in the wheel arch, we have developed an extension for the air duct that can be installed with minimal effort. This extension guides the air around the wheel and connects it to the outlet via a hose.

For many vehicles, brake cooling is recommended even under moderate loads, and even outside of racetracks. This not only improves braking performance but also drastically reduces wear on the friction surfaces. Our backing plate utilizes airflow channeling to the center of the brake disc to harness the turbine effect for internal cooling. We direct the airflow at a specific angle to the disc to minimize heat loss and maximize the efficiency of the available air volume. The lightweight construction, combined with powder-coated aluminum, makes the backing plate sufficiently strong while remaining light and durable. Additionally, the bearings closest to the brake disc are shielded from heat to extend their lifespan (where necessary).

IMPORTANT: The different models vary slightly in wheel position, and combined with different chassis geometries and wheel and tire combinations, it is impossible for us to cover all variations. In the worst case, the wheel could slightly rest on the ground at full steering lock (which should only occur when parking), but this will not damage the tire. In this case, we would ask you to refrain from turning the steering wheel for the last quarter of its rotation.
