The aerodynamic components of Maxton Design They give your vehicle an aggressive look and improve airflow. This ensures the parts stay securely in place even at high speeds, so you can... TÜV inspection To ensure you pass without any problems, professional installation according to the manufacturer's specifications is essential.

🛠️ Preparation & Required tools&

For the installation of splitters, sills and diffusers you will need:

  • Lifting platform or ramps: Working on the ground is hardly possible with precision when using front splitters.

  • drill & Metal drill bit (6mm): Most Maxton parts require pre-drilling for screwing.

  • Screw clamps/fixing clamps: To position the parts precisely before screwing them together.

  • Isopropanol-based cleaners: For absolutely grease-free cleaning of the adhesive surfaces.

  • Body adhesive (z.B. Sikaflex): Optional to support mechanical screw fastening (depending on the report).

⚖️ TÜV focus: Safety first

A Maxton front splitter must withstand enormous wind loads.

  • Screwing vs. gluing: Simply gluing is never sufficient for TÜV approval! The screws and bolts included in the delivery must be used.

  • Number of attachment points: Strictly adhere to the specified drilling points. If too few screws are used, the component can break off at high speed.

  • Parts certificate: Maxton products are usually sold with a TÜV supplied. Always carry these in the vehicle or have the parts registered at an inspection station (§19.3).

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Do the parts need to be painted? No. Maxton supplies the parts in "High Gloss Black" finish. They are ready for installation.

  • Can I remove the parts again? Because drilling is necessary, small holes will remain on the underside of the bumper (in the non-visible area).

  • How is the fit? Maxton uses state-of-the-art 3D scanning technology. If something doesn't fit perfectly, first check if the original bumper is correctly aligned.
