Installing a landing gear requires more than a standard toolbox. You will need:

Spring compressor: For mounting the strut mounts.

| Step | Detailed tip |
| Release the rubber bearing tension | Essential: Only tighten all control arm bolts when the vehicle is standing on its own wheels (design position), otherwise the bearings will tear prematurely! |
| Pay attention to the settling dimension | New springs will settle by approximately 5-10 mm. Initially, set the suspension 5 mm higher than the desired height. |
| Preload | The spring must always be firmly seated in the spring plate when the spring is extended. |
| Corrosion protection | A little protective wax on the stainless steel thread makes adjustment much easier after winter. |
