COMPETITION INTERCOOLER KIT BMW F80-82-83-87 M2/M3/M4

The 3.0-liter S55B30 turbocharged engine in the BMW M2 Competition/M3/M4 models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling system. The charge air cooling process is therefore handled by a water-cooled intercooler, which is replaced by the WagnerTuning high-performance intercooler.

The WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler features a novel competition core (tube and fin) measuring 287 mm x 185 mm x 115 mm. Specifically developed to meet the demanding requirements of the S55 engine, it offers 114% more external core volume compared to the original intercooler. The optimized ratio of internal to external cooling surface area ensures maximum heat transfer while simultaneously allowing for the best possible internal airflow. The cast aluminum end tanks were designed using CAD and optimized with CFD simulations. The result is outstanding cooling performance with minimal backpressure. This kit is therefore also suitable for racing applications. Optimal cooling of the charged air leads to a significant increase in power!

A notice:

To install the intercooler on the BMW M2 Competition, the hood requires minor modification. Please remove the marked area on the inside of the hood using a body saw or similar tool. It may also be necessary to slightly bend the original intercooler mounting bracket so that the intercooler sits as close as possible to the intake manifold.
