The Competition high-performance intercooler has the following core dimensions (590mm x 225mm x 145mm [stepped] = 16.6L) and thus offers a 30% larger frontal area and 47% more charge air volume compared to the original intercooler. The Competition high-performance core is a high-quality tube-fin design with internal turbulators. As a result, the total weight of the intercooler is only 9.65kg despite its size. The end tanks of the intercooler are made of cast aluminum and have been optimized using CFD flow analysis. This intercooler kit was developed specifically for the high demands of the Mini Cooper S JCW. Overall, this intercooler has significantly less backpressure than the stock intercooler. In addition, all our intercoolers have an anti-corrosion coating with heat-conducting properties. This guarantees long-lasting and optimal cooling with a noticeable increase in performance. Complete, ready-to-install kit, simply replace the stock intercooler – plug and play. Tested and pressure-stable up to 6 bar. All our products undergo continuous quality control.
