Motorsport technology for your M
Anyone who drives an M wants to feel the limit. We carry the appropriate upgrades from renowned manufacturers:
- Carbon intake & airflow:
The heart of many M conversions. Eventuri Intake systems made of prepreg carbon not only ensure a fantastic look under the hood, but also significantly better response and the characteristic intake noise. Alternatively, BMC Air Filter offer the perfect air flow. - Chassis & Track Performance:
Bring the power to the asphalt. For the perfect stance or lap times on the Nordschleife, we recommend KW Suspensions (V3, V4 or Clubsport) as well as ST Suspensions. - Sound & exhaust technology:
The new M models are often acoustically restricted by OPF. Sports exhaust systems and downpipes from Milltek Sport or Speed Engineering unleash the true sound of your bi-turbo. - Cooling & Stability:
So that performance remains stable even during launch control orgies: high-performance intercoolers and cooler packages from WAGNER TUNING. - Electronic solutions:
Special modules from LEIB Engineering (z.B. CAN bus flap control or OPF delete for Export/Racing) and DTE Systems for fine-tuning. - Optics & Aerodynamics:
Give your M the finishing touches with aero parts from Maxton Design and lightweight BBS performance rims. - Brake:
Guarantee maximum deceleration ENDLESS brake pads and Fischer Hydraulik Steel braided lines.
FAQ - Tuning for BMW M models
Is an Eventuri intake worth it in the M model really?
Technically and emotionally: Yes. Standard airflow is often a compromise between noise and cost. Eventuri systems use the “Venturi effect” to accelerate airflow. In M engines (like the S55 or S58) we often measure a sharper response from the turbos and a real increase in performance, not to mention the brilliant sound.
Do you have solutions for the quiet sound in the M3/M4 (G80/G82)?
The Otto particle filter (OPF) greatly attenuates the sound of the current generation. We offer legal ECE exhaust systems that make the sound bassier and more voluminous. For pure racetrack use, we also offer solutions without OPF (please note legal information).
Do I have to shut down the adaptive M chassis when lowering?
Not necessarily. If you only install coil springs (z.B. from KW or ST), your electronic dampers will remain fully functional. If you install a complete coilover suspension (V3/V4), the electronic system is often deactivated with a "decommissioning kit" - but in return you get a significantly more performant damper characteristic than standard.
What does LEIB Engineering do for my BMW M?
LEIB specializes in electronic ones Problem solver. Modules that prevent the exhaust flaps from closing unintentionally or suppress error messages when catalytic converters have been replaced for motorsport are particularly in demand.
