The Eventuri carbon intake system for the BMW E60 M5 and E63 M6 was developed to increase engine power, improve handling, and enhance the overall driving experience. The key aspects are the balance between aerodynamic efficiency and air intake temperature. An open system was chosen, but with differences from other aftermarket airboxes. This is evident in the shape of the carbon housing and the position and shape of the air filter. The inverted cone-shaped filter, which is additionally encased in carbon fiber, creates the so-called Venturi effect. The resulting evenly laminar airflow makes a power increase of +15 hp realistic.

The airbox is manufactured using the prepreg carbon process.
