Originally developed for the RS3 platform, we now offer this intake for the RSQ3. This intake system has been engineered to provide the highest possible flow rate while maintaining the lowest intake temperatures possible. Every component has been designed to provide a smooth and unobstructed flow path for the turbo. The intake pipe has an internal diameter of 103mm, or just over 4°, and features a smooth curve from the filter housing to the turbo inlet. The filter itself was specifically designed for this intake and has a massive external diameter of 210mm, or 8.3°, with a filtering area of ​​over 130,000mm^2. The patented Venturi housing has been engineered to provide the maximum possible internal volume for the RSQ3 engine bay, providing laminar flow to the turbo pipe. Finally, the duct seals the filter opening at the windscreen, but is not solely restricted by the stock intake. We raised the front of the duct to create an additional opening behind the hood, corresponding to an additional 7" diameter hole for the intake manifold to vent from. The resulting system has the capacity to flow 840 CFM at 28" H2O while keeping intake temperatures to a minimum with the sealed design.

The Eventuri Difference

The F3 RSQ3 Eventuri system utilizes our patented carbon fiber housings, providing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbocharger pipe. Not just another conical filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that evokes the Venturi effect.

PERFOMANCE

Flow bench tests

We conducted flow tests with a Superflow SF-1020 to determine the maximum possible flow rate at a pressure drop of 28" H2O. The tests were conducted on the same day under controlled conditions using the same test rig for each system. We tested our complete intake system against the stock airbox system. The results demonstrate how restrictive the stock airbox is; we were able to improve it by up to 58% in the maximum possible flow rate. Importantly, this was achieved with a sealed intake system, so intake temperatures are also kept to a minimum.

Testing on the test bench

Our Stage 3 intake has been tested by various renowned tuners worldwide who have built high-performance RS3/TTRS projects for street and track use. The first results come from BR Performance Netherlands, who tested our system on a TTRS with a TTE700 hybrid turbo. The tests were conducted on the same day with the hood closed. They tested the stock airbox against our Stage 3 intake and also with the addition of our 4" Turbo inlet pipe, which is an additional product - details can be found on our Audi product page.
