The Eventuri intake for the Audi B9 S4/S5 was developed to give the turbo less restrictive airflow while maintaining low inlet temperatures. The S5/S4 engine bay heats up very quickly, so an open system would result in better airflow but at higher inlet temperatures. Therefore, the airflow path from the front grille to the turbo inlet was completely redesigned with a highly efficient, sealed system. The restrictive OEM airbox and flexible plastic pipe were replaced with a venturi filter housing and a duct system with smooth transitions. Furthermore, by removing the pleated OEM pipe and replacing the filter with our patented one-piece venturi housing and a rigid pipe, the airflow is much smoother as it enters the turbo inlet. The resulting performance increase and aesthetics are groundbreakingly innovative for this platform.

The Eventuri Difference: The B9 S4/S5 Eventuri system utilizes our patent-pending carbon fiber housings with our bespoke Gen 2 filter, providing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the inlets. Not just another filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that induces the Venturi effect. The intake was VBOX-tested on the road to record acceleration from 100-200 km/h. The tests were conducted on the same track—and on the same day—to keep variables to a minimum. The results show a reduction in acceleration times from 100-200 km/h by almost 0.5 seconds, a significant improvement at such speeds. This shows that the gains measured on the dyno are not representative of how the intake behaves on the street when it has the right flow conditions - on the street the intake shows a greater gain by reducing acceleration times compared to the dyno.

The improvements arise from a combination of reasons:

  • The closed system keeps IATs low - especially with the front air scoop pushing air into the system.
  • The venturi housing ensures a smooth transition from the filter to the intake manifold without friction. This helps the turbo run more efficiently by maintaining laminar flow in the intake section.
  • The entire system is made of pure pre-preg carbon fiber, which is ideal for thermal insulation.
