Audi A1 8x Bluetooth music stream MMI RMC Radio retrofit package

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for installing a Bluetooth streaming function in your AUDI A1 8X with RMC multimedia system and already installed AUX-IN connection.

The control of the tracks and the display of the track names is done via the mobile phone - technically speaking, the audio signal is sent to the MMI via the AUX-IN input.

The retrofitting of this Bluetooth interface (= A2DP Audio Streaming) for the transmission of audio signals is possible on all AUDI A1 / S1 8X models of all model years (pre-facelift / facelift), all body styles (Sportback, 3-door) and all equipment variants with an already installed AUX-IN connection and one of the following installed MMI multimedia systems:

RMC Navigation Low (PR No.: 7T2 / Navigation data on SD card, with 6-way station button input field)

RMC Radio Low I / II (PR No.: 7Q0 / no navigation function)

Any existing Bluetooth hands-free system can of course continue to be used in parallel.

NOT suitable for models with MMI3G / navigation system plus (= PR no.: 7T6, these models can already stream music ex works).

NOT suitable for models with Radio Chorus (= PR No.: 8UA). For these AUDI A1 models, please order the retrofit package with item no.: 16402

NOT suitable for models with built-in AMI music interface (= interface for end devices such as iPhone / USB in the glove compartment).

NOT suitable for models without a factory-installed AUX-IN input (= without a jack input). We can retrofit these on-site upon request.

Installation information:

Pull out the MMI that is only plugged in.

For easy disassembly of the radio unit, we recommend using our release brackets, which you can order at any time under item number 75005.

Plug in the cable set - place the permanently connected Bluetooth receiver behind the MMI unit.

If your AUDI A1 already has an AUX-IN input installed, no coding work is necessary; the retrofit works immediately.

Unfortunately, this retrofit package is not suitable for your AUDI A1 without an already installed AUX-IN input.

Any existing CD changer does not need to be uninstalled. This Bluetooth interface is installed "in addition" to it.

Connecting a device:

Ignition ON.

Open the Bluetooth menu on your phone.

Search for Bluetooth receivers and connect once.

Your phone will then be permanently paired and will not need to be reconnected every time you start your vehicle.

Operation:

Ignition ON

Your mobile phone, which has already been paired once, will connect automatically.

Select the "AUX" source in the MMI and play music from your phone.
