Frequently asked questions about VW tuning
Will my DCC (Adaptive Chassis Control) still work after lowering the suspension?
It depends. If you only install sport springs, the DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) will remain functional. If you install a coilover suspension, you have two options: 1. You can use a "KW DDC" suspension (which is compatible with VW electronics). 2. You can use a mechanical suspension and install a "deactivation kit" (often included or optional with KW) to prevent error messages from appearing in the instrument cluster.
What are the benefits of a downpipe on a Golf 7 or 8 GTI/R?
A downpipe is one of the most effective upgrades for a turbocharged engine. A larger downpipe significantly reduces backpressure and the thermal stress on the turbocharger. The result: more power, better throttle response, and often a more robust sound. (Make sure it's ECE-approved for road use!).
Do you have any solutions for the quiet sound in the Golf 8 (due to the OPF)?
Yes. The gasoline particulate filter (GPF) significantly reduces sound. We offer exhaust systems (z.B. from Milltek), which were specifically designed to get the maximum legal sound despite OPF.
What is special about Eventuri intakes for VW?
