Audi A4 8K B8 Bluetooth Music MMI3G/3G+ from 2009

You want to stream/play music via Bluetooth on your phone.

Here we provide you with the complete package for the very simple retrofitting of the music streaming function in an installed MMI3G/3G+ navigation system.

The control of the tracks and the display of the track names is done via the mobile phone - technically speaking, the audio signal is sent to the MMI via the AUX-IN input.

The retrofitting of this A2DP Bluetooth interface for the transmission (= streaming) of audio signals is possible on all AUDI A4 / S4 / RS4 8K models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift), all body styles (Avant, Sedan, allroad) and all equipment variants with one of the following installed navigation systems:

MMI3G Navigation (PR number: 7T2 / Navigation data on SD card)

MMI3G+ Navigation plus (PR number: 7T6 / Navigation data on hard drive)

NOT suitable for AUDI A4 8K B8 models with the older MMI2G navigation system (PR number: 7Q2 / with 6-CD changer in the front center console, installed until approx. 2009

NOT suitable for AUDI A4 8K B8 models with built-in radio system without navigation system (PR number: 7Q0 / e.g. Radio Chorus, Symphony

This retrofitting of music via Bluetooth streaming interface is suitable for all models with or without a factory-installed AUX-IN input as well as for all models with or without a factory-installed AMI music interface (= interface for end devices such as iPhone / USB in the glove compartment; this interface has no function after installation and is no longer required).

Any existing Bluetooth hands-free system can of course continue to be used in parallel.

We are also happy to offer you the retrofit package for the factory solution - the AMI music interface under article no.: 16476, to which you can connect device adapters such as USB / iPhone / iPod as well as aftermarket Bluetooth adapters - this "big" solution offers more options such as plugging / charging your mobile phone, displaying the music tracks and controlling the music from your mobile phone via the MMI system.

With this "small" solution offered here, the control of the tracks and the display of the track names are done via the mobile phone - technically speaking, the audio signal is routed to the MMI via the AUX input.

Installation information:

Pull out the MMI unit.

For easy disassembly of the MMI unit, we recommend using our release brackets, which you can order at any time under item number 75005.

Plug in the cable set - place the permanently connected digital Bluetooth receiver behind the MMI unit.

For models with an AUX-IN input already installed, no coding work is necessary. Only for models without an AUX-IN input (= input for a jack plug below the center armrest) currently installed, the MMI is activated using the supplied coding instructions.

Any existing CD changer does not need to be uninstalled. This interface is installed "in addition" to it.

Connecting a device:

Open Bluetooth menu on your phone

Search for Bluetooth receivers and connect once

The device will beep once when the connection is successful. Your phone will then be permanently paired and will not need to be reconnected each time you start the vehicle.
