Our goal was to address two main criteria: 1) Increased flow rate. 2) Smooth airflow. The first goal was achieved by utilizing all the limited space in the RS6 engine bay, which was severely restricted by the underside of the hood. Our solution involved completely redesigning the airbox to maximize volume, enlarge the airflow inlets, and create a more favorable filter angle to the turbos. Furthermore, we dramatically increased the size of the turbo inlets by up to 85% when measuring the cross-sectional area at the openings. The second goal was achieved by developing an organically shaped system with a specially rounded panel filter to ensure the airflow path contained no sharp corners, thus enabling laminar flow. With smooth transitions from the filter to the turbo inlets, our intake minimizes turbulence, allowing the turbos to operate more efficiently. We partnered with BMC to develop a custom-designed filter element to ensure that the filter area is as large as possible while maintaining a clean airflow.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003e  \u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eWith all targets met, our C8 RS6 intake system delivers on all fronts, allowing the turbos to generate boost more efficiently. At higher tuning levels, the turbos require more air, and therefore the stock airbox becomes a greater constraint. Here are some results from reputable tuners who have tested the intake.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eSTAGE 1 TEST\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eDyno tests were conducted by Awesome GTI in the UK on their own C8 RS6, fitted with an aftermarket OPF rear exhaust and a custom Stage 1 remap. They ran the car four times in fourth gear with the stock airbox, then switched to the Eventuri intake while the car remained on the dyno. The car was then run four more times in fourth gear. All tests were performed on the same day, and no other modifications were made. The graph below shows the peak power of the stock airbox versus the peak power of the Eventuri intake. Both were the initial dyno runs, with subsequent runs reducing power due to heat. As can be seen below, the intake provides a significant power gain across the entire rev range. The highlighted point shows the highest rev-limited increase of 60 hp at the crankshaft.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eSTAGE 2 TESTING\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eDyno tests on a Stage 2 RS6 were conducted by Eurocharged Canada on a car equipped with aftermarket downpipes, intercoolers, and their own Stage 2 remap. Figures shown here are at the wheels. They ran the car multiple times with both the stock airbox and the Eventuri airbox, with the results shown below, comparing the best results with the best Eventuri results. Again, we can see a dramatic increase in power, and being Stage 2, the stock airbox is an even greater limiting factor. The car was run three times with the stock airbox to ensure repeatability, and then the intake was swapped to the Eventuri. The car was then run three more times to ensure consistency.
